About FairSpin

FairSpin started from a simple frustration: every "random picker" on the internet either demanded a signup, buried the tool under wall-to-wall ads, or quietly uploaded your list — student names, employee names, giveaway entrants — to someone else's server. For a tool whose entire job is one fair draw, that's a bad trade.

So FairSpin is built on two promises. Private by design: the whole app runs in your browser. Your entries live in your browser's local storage, share links carry the wheel inside the URL itself (no server to read it), and the picker itself makes zero third-party network requests — the only outside call on the page is the banner ad. Verifiably fair: the winner is chosen with your device's cryptographic random number generator before the wheel animation starts, and every spin publishes a seed plus a SHA-256 fingerprint of the entry list. Anyone can re-check the draw — read how fairness works.

FairSpin is free, now and intentionally. There are no accounts, no premium tiers, and no analytics watching you spin. If you find it useful, the best thanks is sharing it.
